Previously, Lee Mi-young, who appeared on "Black and White Chefs" with the nickname "School Meal Master," gained significant attention by impressing Michelin 3-star chef An Seong-jae with her school meal cooking. However, having retired from her position as a school meal cook at an elementary school and unlike other contestants, she does not run a restaurant, so there was no opportunity to taste her food.
When news spread that Lee held a special meal event at the Hana Bank cafeteria, netizens responded enthusiastically. Many left comments on Hana Bank’s official SNS, such as "Has anyone tried the School Meal Master's food?" "Someone please share a review," and "I’m getting dizzy, so hurry up and bring the reviews."
A person identified as A, who said they ate Lee’s food that day, commented on Hana Bank’s SNS, "As expected, the master was different," adding, "The soft tofu stew didn’t taste like any I’ve known before. The rolled omelette was simple but unbelievably delicious. The thinly sliced pork belly stir-fried with gochujang was a real rice thief."
Netizen B also posted a review along with photos of the food served that day on the anonymous workplace community Blind. He wrote, "The rolled omelette was a bit salty for me, but it was impossible for it to taste bad. The spicy pork stir-fry wasn’t special but definitely not bad. The pickled onions were so good that I ate them with the pork."
He continued, "I usually don’t like soft tofu stew, but I finished it all. I rarely eat fresh kimchi either, but this time I ate it all." He added, "How can group meals taste like homemade food? I usually never go to the cafeteria and dislike group meals, but if it’s like this, I’d go every day."
The post spread across various online communities, becoming a hot topic. Netizens responded with comments like "I rarely envy other companies, but this is really enviable," "Best welfare," and "Please come to our company too."
