Namyangju City Holds Graduation Ceremony for 'Godae Myeongpum Citizen Leader Academy'

Producing 50 Community Leaders

Namyangju City held the graduation ceremony for the "18th Kodae Premium Citizen Leader Academy Course" on the 31st of last month at Korea University's Future Education Center. Provided by Namyangju City

Gyeonggi Namyangju City (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) announced on the 4th that it held the graduation ceremony for the "18th Kodae Premium Citizen Leader Academy Course" at Korea University's Future Education Center on the 31st of last month.

The Namyangju Kodae Premium Citizen Leader Academy was promoted by Namyangju City in collaboration with Korea University's Future Education Center to strengthen the capabilities of citizen market leaders and establish a sincere communication and cooperation system to discover volunteers in the local community.

The course started in July and was conducted over a total of 15 sessions, producing 50 graduates this year.

Over the past four months, the graduates attended weekly lectures by experts in various fields on the history and culture of the local community, communication skills, and the knowledge and attitudes required as citizen market leaders.

Gwon Hyuk-du, the student leader of the 18th class, said, "I am pleased that all 50 classmates graduated together," and added, "I will do my best to ensure that the Kodae Premium Citizen Leader Academy continues to be a driving force leading Namyangju City."

Mayor Joo Gwang-deok said in a congratulatory video, "The participation, cooperation, and support of the Citizen Leader Academy students will be a great driving force in promoting the 'Yeomin Dongrak' policy emphasized by Dasan Jeong Yak-yong," and added, "Congratulations on becoming an opportunity to act as leaders of Namyangju City, and please continue to contribute to the development of Namyangju."
