Hanam City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Hyun-jae) announced on the 4th that it held the "Practical Live Commerce Competition" for two days from October 31 to November 1, in conjunction with the 2024 G-FAIR KOREA (Korea Excellent Products Exhibition).
The "Practical Live Commerce Competition" is a program planned as part of the "Live Commerce Education" operated in the Eastern Region Startup Innovation Space in Hanam. It is a project aimed at nurturing professional creators through systematic education targeting career-interrupted women, (prospective) entrepreneurs, and university students in the area.
In this competition, seven outstanding graduates from the education program were selected to compete by promoting and selling excellent products from startups residing in the Eastern Region Startup Innovation Space in Hanam through live broadcasts at a specialized studio set up inside the G-FAIR KOREA exhibition hall.
In particular, to ensure fairness and professionalism of the program, experts from various fields such as live commerce specialists, professional show hosts, and announcers supported the program and conducted the judging.
After a rigorous evaluation, two final awardees (Grand Prize and Excellence Award) were selected. The Grand Prize was awarded to show host Lee Jeong-hoo, who received a prize of 1,000,000 KRW. The Excellence Award went to show host Min Kyung-ho, who received a prize of 300,000 KRW.
Mayor Lee Hyun-jae of Hanam said, "Through this G-FAIR linked live commerce competition, a win-win cooperation platform continues to provide employment opportunities for Hanam citizens and product promotion opportunities for startup companies," adding, "We will continue to expand excellent programs where citizens and companies can mutually win-win."
