Actor Yoo Ah-in and 30s YouTuber Arrested for Drug Use

A man in his 30s accused of using drugs together with actor Yoo Ah-in in the United States has been arrested.

On the 4th, the Narcotics Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced that it had requested an arrest warrant for YouTuber A, a man in his 30s, on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act on the 30th of last month. The next day, on the 31st, the Seoul Central District Court issued the arrest warrant for A, citing "risk of flight."

A is suspected of smoking marijuana several times with companions during a trip to the United States from January to February of last year. As the police investigation tightened, A fled to France in April of last year and lived in hiding. Then, after one year and seven months, he voluntarily returned to Korea through Incheon Airport on the 28th of last month and was arrested by the police.

The police plan to transfer A to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office on the 5th.
