Yeoncheon-gun, Cheongsan-myeon Residents' Exhibition 'I Will Live in Cheongsan' Held

On the 2nd, Yeoncheon County held a resident exhibition titled "Cheongsan-e Sal-eoriratta" at the training ground of the 5th Infantry Division Recruit Training Center, showcasing various items and works that tell diverse stories of Cheongsan-myeon.

Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi Province announced on the 4th that it held a residents' exhibition titled "Cheongsan-e Sal-eoriratta" at the training ground of the 5th Infantry Division Recruit Training Center on the 2nd, showcasing various items and works containing diverse stories of Cheongsan-myeon.

On that day, the residents' exhibition was planned and prepared directly by a resident planning group composed of Cheongsan-myeon residents as part of the small living area revitalization project. About a thousand people, including local residents and tourists, viewed items and paintings that contained the unique storytelling of Cheongsan-myeon. In particular, families reminisced about old memories with laughter blooming around old items such as sewing machines, millstones, and braziers.

The small living area revitalization project is a public contest project by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety targeting areas with population decline. Yeoncheon-gun is promoting residents' exhibitions, local cultural heritage maintenance, story map production, and resident capacity building to revitalize Cheongsan-myeon.

Eo Wansu, head of the resident planning group, said, "I am very pleased to promote Cheongsan-myeon through this exhibition," and added, "Starting with this exhibition prepared with one heart by the residents, we will make Cheongsan-myeon a place where many visitors want to come again and live."
