Hankyung Association Holds 3-Day Youth Entrepreneurship Research Meeting with Ministry of Economy and Finance

2024 Entrepreneurship Colloquium Co-Hosted

The Korea Economic Association, together with the Ministry of Economy and Finance, will hold a 3-day Youth Entrepreneurship Colloquium (research meeting). The event aims to convey the message that young people should practice entrepreneurship for creative destruction in their daily lives.

On the 4th, the Korea Economic Association announced that it will jointly host the '2024 Entrepreneurship Colloquium' with the Ministry of Economy and Finance for three days at an educational facility in Taean-gun, Chungcheongnam-do. About 80 participants will include Kim Chang-beom, Executive Vice President of the Korea Economic Association, Kim Yoon-sang, 2nd Vice Minister of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Heo Se-young, CEO of Lucent Block, Professor Ji Sang-chul of Korea University Graduate School of Startup Management, as well as student executives from the Korea Economic Association's economic education programs Y.LC and E.I.C.


The theme of the event is 'Our Lives, Entrepreneurship.' It signifies that everyone should demonstrate entrepreneurship for creative destruction in their lives. Over the course of three days, participants will expand their understanding of entrepreneurship that can be practiced in daily life through a colloquium format with speakers. The program includes dialogues with leaders, an entrepreneurship excellence case competition, expert lectures, company visits, and networking opportunities among participating university students.


In his congratulatory remarks, Kim Chang-beom, Executive Vice President of the Korea Economic Association, stated, "The spirit of challenge among the younger generation is essential for the sustainable growth of the Korean economy," adding, "We will continue to diversify the themes and formats of economic education through public-private cooperation."
