On the day of the U.S. presidential election vote count, predictions have emerged that former President Donald Trump will make a surprise 'victory declaration,' prompting the Democratic Party to prepare countermeasures.

According to CNBC and others on the 1st (local time), a senior official from Kamala Harris's campaign said they "fully expect" former President Trump to declare victory "before the vote count is completed" on election night.

The official added, "He has done this before, but if he tries (a surprise victory declaration) again, it will fail."

As the race between the two candidates remains close, there are ongoing expectations that former President Trump will declare victory in this year's election as well.

Vice President Harris recently stated in an interview with ABC, "If Trump tries to manipulate the media and American public opinion, we are prepared to respond."

Through media interviews and other means, they plan to refute former President Trump's claims and broadcast advertisements on social media and TV emphasizing that "the counting must continue until the very end."

Former President Trump recently told reporters that he hopes to declare victory on the election day, November 5th.

Previously, during the 2020 presidential election vote count, former President Trump suddenly declared victory in the early morning hours.

Typically, victory is declared when the election results clearly indicate the winner, but former President Trump announced it during the counting process, and President Joe Biden's victory was confirmed three days later.

After declaring victory at the White House, former President Trump claimed that the counting should not proceed, alleging that early mail-in voting in some states was fraudulent. Among Trump supporters, the belief that Biden's victory was fraudulent spread, leading to the January 6th Capitol riot the following year.
