The city of Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok), is recruiting 16 citizen reporters for 2025 from the 1st to the 24th to co-produce the Namyangju city newsletter 'THE Namyangju'.

The city publishes the monthly city newsletter 'THE Namyangju' once a month, containing useful administrative information and local news directly reported by citizen reporters. The city will review the documents based on selection criteria such as originality of content, completeness of writing, and appropriateness of photo expression, and will finalize the selection of citizen reporters on the 6th of next month.

The selected citizen reporters will participate bimonthly in producing the city newsletter from the February 2025 issue to the January 2026 issue. The city plans to hold two workshops annually to strengthen reporters' capabilities and will support reporter activities by providing reporter certificates, business cards, and manuscript fees for reporting activities.

Park Sun-young, the public relations officer, said, "Citizen reporters play an important role in promoting the value of the local community and directly capturing residents' voices on site," adding, "We hope many capable citizens will participate and breathe new life into the city newsletter."
