Kim Dong-geun, Mayor of Uijeongbu, is giving a greeting speech at the 'Youth, Blooming' exhibition commemorative ceremony on the 1st. Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 1st that it will hold "Youth, Blossoming," an exhibition of works by the elderly at the Circular Exhibition Hall and Exhibition Hall 1 within the Uijeongbu Arts Center.
The exhibition features 150 pieces including acrylic paintings, ceramics, and literati paintings created by participants of the senior socialization education program at Songsan Senior Welfare Center (Director Park Woong-hyeolgu).
At the commemorative ceremony held on the 1st, over 500 distinguished guests and local residents attended, brightening the event, and afterwards, they enjoyed viewing the artworks together.
Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, "The works displayed today were moving as they contain the stories of the seniors' lives," and added, "We will strive to make leisure activities and social participation of the elderly more active."
This exhibition will be held for six days until the 6th at the Circular Exhibition Hall and Exhibition Hall 1 of the Uijeongbu Arts Center, and is free for anyone to visit.
