President Yoon Suk-yeol expressed condolences to the victims of the heavy rain in southeastern Spain on the 1st.

On the same day, President Yoon stated on X (formerly Twitter), "I extend my deepest condolences to those who lost their lives and their families due to the terrible floods in Spain," adding, "We stand with Spain during this difficult time and sincerely hope for the swift recovery of the affected areas."

On the 29th of last month, a sudden heavy rainstorm struck southeastern Spain for two hours, resulting in 158 deaths to date.
