Daejin University holds the visiting love briquette delivery event annually, where members of Daejin University personally deliver briquettes purchased by the university to the homes of marginalized households within Pocheon.
On this day, about 30 faculty and staff members of Daejin University participated to show continuous interest in marginalized groups, promote self-reliance, and coexist with the local community.
The beneficiaries were selected through recommendations from the Pocheon City Comprehensive Volunteer Center, targeting households that have difficulty with heating support. Six households in Yeongjung-myeon, Pocheon City, were chosen, and a total of 3,000 briquettes, 500 per household, were delivered.
Yoon Young-sun, Director of the Office of Educational Innovation, who participated in the volunteer activity, said, “I am grateful to the faculty and staff of Daejin University who participated in the university’s community contribution and volunteer activities for marginalized groups,” and added, “We will continue to contribute to the local community through ongoing volunteer activities.”
