Youth Digital and Drone Education
First Collaboration with Goyang City Specialized High Schools... Launching Digital Competency Enhancement Education Including Drone Experience and Coding Practice
The Goyang Industry Promotion Agency K-High Tech Platform Support Group is taking a commemorative photo after signing a business agreement for youth digital and drone education with Shinil Business High School on the 31st of last month. Gyeonggi Goyang Industrial Promotion Agency (Director Han Dong-gyun) K-High Tech Platform Support Group (Head Kim Jong-sang) announced on the 1st that they signed a youth digital and drone education business agreement (MOU) with Shinil Business High School (Principal Lee Hyang-jae) on the 31st.
This agreement was promoted to strengthen the digital capabilities of specialized high school students in Goyang City and to support career exploration related to the 4th industrial revolution.
From the day of the agreement ceremony, the support group conducted experiential digital education including drone piloting practice and coding for Shinil Business High School students. Taking this agreement as an opportunity, both institutions plan to operate various programs to bridge the digital divide among youth and support career exploration in the future.
Kim Jong-sang, head of the support group, said, “Last year, we conducted more than 84 sessions of drone design and flight education experiences for 528 students in Goyang City (10 middle schools and 1 elementary school). We hope that young people will enhance their understanding of the drone industry and explore various possibilities for their future careers, and we will continue to discover and support various programs that can strengthen the digital capabilities of youth.”
The support group plans to expand digital capability enhancement education targeting specialized high schools located in Goyang City, starting with Shinil Business High School.
