"Priority on Helicopter Parts Supply" ... Hong Nampyo, Changwon Special Mayor, Consults with Italy's Leonardo Company

Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam, visited Leonardo in Italy on October 31st to listen to explanations about the company's helicopter business sector and discussed ways for companies based in Changwon to participate in supplying helicopter parts to Leonardo.

Leonardo in Italy is a global company producing helicopters for various fields such as defense, disaster prevention, and rescue operations. It currently operates production plants in the UK, the US, and Poland, and is reportedly seeking a production base targeting the Asian region in the future.

Both parties exchanged ideas on win-win strategies in the parts supply sector by leveraging Leonardo's Asia expansion strategy and the strengths of companies in the Changwon area.

Additionally, Mayor Hong proposed the visit of Leonardo officials to Changwon and the signing of an MOU at this meeting, to which Leonardo reportedly responded positively.

Accordingly, both sides plan to designate cooperation channels and coordinate specific schedules going forward.

Meanwhile, this visit is expected to activate cooperation between Changwon Special City and Leonardo in the air mobility sector.
