No Jong-myeon "Myeong Tae-gyun file, analysis is so difficult... Haven't even gone through a third"

Mentioning the Possibility of Additional Revelations
"Not Confirming Is the Democratic Party's Policy"

As the phone conversation between President Yoon Seok-yeol and Mr. Myeong Taegyun was made public, causing controversy, No Jong-myeon, the floor spokesperson for the Democratic Party of Korea, stated, "The recording files related to the suspicions about Mr. Myeong Taegyun obtained by the party are so numerous that it is overwhelming to analyze them," adding, "We have not even listened to one-third of them yet." This leaves open the possibility of further revelations.

No Jong-myeon "Myeong Tae-gyun file, analysis is so difficult... Haven't even gone through a third" Park Chan-dae, floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, held an emergency press conference at the National Assembly on the 31st to release the recorded phone conversation between President Yoon Seok-yeol and Myung Tae-kyun. According to the transcript, on May 9, 2022, President Yoon told Mr. Myung, "The Public Office Committee brought it to me, so since former People Power Party lawmaker Kim Young-sun worked hard from the primary election, please give it to former lawmaker Kim," Park said. No, the floor spokesperson, appeared on MBC Radio's 'Kim Jong-bae's Focus' that day and said, "We have not fully analyzed the contents of the recordings. At this stage, the party has decided not to disclose them," explaining that while the previously received files have been analyzed, the party lacks the capacity to analyze the recently received recordings from various sources.

The Democratic Party disclosed some of the numerous recordings received from a whistleblower the day before. Among them was a part where President Yoon mentioned to Mr. Myeong, "The Public Office Committee brought it to me, so I said, 'Kim Young-seon has been working hard since the primary, so please take care of that for Kim Young-seon.' But there is a lot of talk from the party." Regarding this, No said, "The presidential office claims that the part about 'please take care of Kim Young-seon' is just a compliment, but from our perspective, I cannot understand how that can be considered an explanation."

Regarding the 'Myeong Taegyun and Lee Jun-seok phone call' file reported to have been received via Telegram from former Lee Jae-myung representative's public relations special advisor Kim Sang-ho the day before, No explained, "Since the file came in yesterday, the review is not yet complete," adding, "We still need to verify whether it is related to (Reform New Party) lawmaker Lee Jun-seok or if it is a direct conversation with him." Earlier reports showed that former advisor Kim sent files titled 'Lee Jun-seok Myeong Taegyun conversation' and 'Myeong Taegyun before the political situation...' to No. After receiving the files, No replied, "I held a press conference and disclosed the files. Thank you for your hard work."

When asked whether there are more voice recordings of President Yoon Seok-yeol or First Lady Kim Keon-hee, or if there is content related to illegal opinion polls, No refrained from commenting, saying, "It is difficult to confirm. This is the party's policy."
