Honam University announced on the 1st that Kim Gyuha, Director of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, recently received the 'Gwangju Mayor's Award' in the field of industry-academic cooperation for his contributions to the promotion and development of the optical convergence industry at the '2024 International Optical Convergence Industry Exhibition' held at the Kim Daejung Convention Center.

Director Kim has worked for over 20 years at the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, conducting various research and development and industry-academic cooperation tasks related to optical convergence. He contributed to strengthening the technological capabilities of the optical convergence industry by supporting the revitalization of local optical industry companies' management and operating research equipment.

He also took charge of overseeing industry-academic cooperation operations, successfully managing various government-supported projects, and played a significant role in establishing industry-academic cooperation programs related to the optical convergence industry.
