Myeongji Neulbom School Holds Opening Day and Meeting
Shares 2-Month Operation Results and Discusses Overall Management Feedback
Superintendent Ha Yoon-su met with parents in the Myeongji area to listen to vivid opinions on the overall operation of the ‘Busan Myeongji Neulbom Dedicated School’ and to explore future development plans.
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Ha Yoon-su) held the ‘School Opening Day and Superintendent-Parent Meeting’ event at Busan Myeongji Neulbom Dedicated School on the 31st of last month.
This event was held to share the achievements of the Busan Myeongji Neulbom Dedicated School, the first of its kind established nationwide, over the past two months and to seek future development plans.
Attendees included Superintendent Ha Yoon-su, education office officials, the principal of Neulbom Dedicated School, and about 60 parents from the Myeongji area.
The event proceeded in the order of a presentation by the principal on the operation of the dedicated school, a communication meeting between the superintendent and parents, and classroom and facility tours.
During the meeting, participants exchanged opinions on ▲ overall matters regarding the operation of Busan Myeongji Neulbom Dedicated School, including expectations ▲ parents’ concerns about childcare and education ▲ and requests to the superintendent.
Superintendent Ha instructed officials to reflect the opinions proposed at the meeting in the future operation of Neulbom Dedicated School and to immediately improve any insufficient areas.
Ha Yoon-su, Superintendent of Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, said, “Close communication with the field is essential for the solid operation of Neulbom Dedicated School. We will not only regularly arrange meetings with parents but also actively incorporate the various suggestions proposed by parents at this event to do our best in operating a more satisfactory dedicated school.”
Busan Myeongji Neulbom Dedicated School, with 20 modular classrooms capable of accommodating about 500 students, opened nationwide for the first time last September.
It provides diverse weekday and weekend learning-type Neulbom programs and safe care Neulbom services for grades 1 to 3 of eight elementary schools in the Myeongji area, including Nammyung Elementary School.
Superintendent Ha Yoon-su is exploring development plans for Neulbom Special School with parents and taking a commemorative photo.
