Yangju-si, Additional Stop for Metropolitan Bus No. 8906 in the Western Area of Okjeong New Town

Gyeonggi Yangju City (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 31st that bus number 8906 will make additional stops at the bus stops in the area due to the move-in of residents in the western area of Okjeong New Town.

Blocks 24-25 and detached housing blocks B5-10 located in the western area of Okjeong New Town have seen a continuous increase in residents with the full-scale move-in this year. Accordingly, on the 30th, city bus route 91 was adjusted to start passing through the western area of Okjeong, and additionally, the metropolitan bus number 8906 is scheduled to stop there in November.

Bus number 8906 departs from Deokjeong Station and heads to Bucheon Terminal via Okjeong and Uijeongbu. To accommodate many residents in the western area, it will stop at the Okjeong 25 Complex bus stop, located centrally among three complexes.

Mayor Kang Su-hyun of Yangju said, “We expect transportation in the western area of Okjeong to improve with the additional stop of bus 8906 and the operation of new metropolitan buses next year,” adding, “We will continue to strive to make public transportation more convenient.”
