10 Companies Re-certified

On the 31st, Daegu City selected four new and ten re-certified 'Employment-Friendly Companies' with excellent job creation and working environments, and held the '2024 Employment-Friendly Company Certification Ceremony.'


This year's selection of employment-friendly companies was conducted after companies that passed the eligibility screening in July underwent on-site investigations in August by external labor and management experts based on detailed evaluation indicators in three areas. New companies were evaluated mainly on increases in regular employment, employment retention rates, and wage and welfare levels, while re-certified companies were assessed based on job creation performance and vision, as well as improvements in welfare systems.

Among 31 applicants for new employment-friendly companies, four companies?HD Hyundai Robotics Co., Ltd., Carpec Valeo Co., Ltd., Mirae Advanced Materials Co., Ltd., and Seongrim Advanced Industries Co., Ltd.?were selected, overcoming a competition ratio of 8 to 1.


These companies had an average sales revenue of 305.4 billion KRW, an average of 316 employees, an average starting annual salary for college graduates of 40.31 million KRW in 2023, and operate an average of 30 types of in-house welfare programs.


The ten re-certified employment-friendly companies selected were Megagen Implant Co., Ltd., Bluesen Co., Ltd., Daedong Co., Ltd., DH Tech Co., Ltd., Cretech Welding Co., Ltd., Cretech Responsibility Co., Ltd., Fine Medics Co., Ltd., Pacific X Korea Co., Ltd., Pungkuk Jujoong Industry Co., Ltd., and Korea Clad Tech Co., Ltd.


These companies had an average sales revenue of 206.2 billion KRW, an average of 314 employees, an average starting annual salary for college graduates of 39.49 million KRW in 2023, and operate an average of 21 types of in-house welfare programs.


Among them, three companies with the most notable efforts in job creation and working environment improvement?Daedong Co., Ltd., Bluesen Co., Ltd., and Megagen Implant Co., Ltd.?were selected as excellent re-certified companies and will receive preferential benefits such as increased support amounts for customized employment environment improvements.


The excellent re-certified companies had an average sales revenue of 422.9 billion KRW, an average of 667 employees, an average starting annual salary for college graduates of 50.79 million KRW in 2023, and operate an average of 22 types of welfare programs.


The employment-friendly company selection and support project, which began in 2016, selects and supports companies with outstanding job creation performance and employee welfare systems, and a total of 60 companies have been selected to date.


Companies selected as employment-friendly can receive benefits such as customized employment environment improvement support (up to 17 million KRW per company) for expanding employee welfare programs and rest facilities, participation in youth awareness improvement events like public transportation advertisements and employment-friendly company briefings, Employment-Friendly Company Day (an event to boost employee morale), and preferential treatment in various corporate support projects.


Hong Jun-pyo, Mayor of Daegu, said, “Employment-friendly companies, which can be called representative local jobs, are companies with high wage levels and excellent employee welfare systems. Daegu City will do its best to continuously discover competitive local companies and provide quality jobs for young people.”
