Food Waste Disposal Service for 60,000 Stores Using Bureung
Delivery platform Vroong announced on the 31st that it has signed a business agreement with Upbox, a business waste collection service.
Through this agreement, 60,000 registered stores using Vroong will be able to reduce costs by using Upbox's professional food waste disposal services at discounted prices. First, the two companies agreed to run a promotion offering up to a 30% discount on the first month's usage fee.
Upbox is a specialized business waste service that collects various wastes including food waste, waste paper, vinyl, waste cooking oil, and general trash. It provides waste collection services to approximately 4,000 clients such as logistics centers, hotels, shopping malls, and general restaurants.
Through this business agreement, Vroong plans to expand its sales partnership business by utilizing the database of over 60,000 stores in addition to the food waste disposal service.
Choi Byung-jun, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Vroong, said, "Vroong is expanding partnership services that can reduce costs such as food waste disposal amid the difficulties faced by store customers who run small businesses. Going forward, we will continue to expand our role as a mediator connecting companies that sign business agreements with Vroong and the store customers' needs."
