Handonghun "Opposition suspects government rather than criticizing North Korea... stirring anxiety"
Chukyung-ho "Even security used as a political firestarter"
On the 31st, the People Power Party urged bipartisan security cooperation, stating that "political strife must stop at the border," criticizing the Democratic Party of Korea for fueling political conflict over North Korea's participation in the Ukraine war and its long-range ballistic missile launches.
Han Dong-hoon, leader of the People Power Party, said at the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly that morning, "(The Democratic Party) is not criticizing North Korea but rather leading efforts to sow public anxiety by doubting, distrusting, and criticizing our government."
He called for restraint regarding the Democratic Party's actions, pointing out that "in such a situation where the safety and peace of the nation and its people are at stake, the majority party's words and actions harm national interests."

Choo Kyung-ho, floor leader, also mentioned North Korea's ballistic missile launches, deployment to the Ukraine war, and preparations at the Punggye-ri nuclear test site, calling them "a serious threat to our security."
He continued, "Despite the grave security situation, Lee Jae-myung and the Democratic Party continue to incite and spew outrageous remarks that are hard to even put into words," criticizing, "They are revealing their pro-North Korea nature and it is deplorable that they are using urgent national security issues as fuel for political strife."
Kim Jong-hyuk, a Supreme Council member, said, "The Democratic Party's pro-North Korea tendencies have been confirmed multiple times. What is the identity of the Democratic Party?" and questioned, "Why do they shrink only in front of North Korea, the worst dictatorship in the world?"
