Korean Re Raises ESG Social Category Rating to 'A+'

The background for Korean Re’s rating upgrade lies in its efforts emphasizing the social category’s purpose of ‘corporate social responsibility and ethical practice.’

Korean Re has continuously worked to clearly define social category indicators and establish them as mid- to long-term goals by conducting company-wide human rights assessments and disclosing the results, as well as newly formulating and announcing safety and health management policies.

Korean Re is striving for more systematic ESG management by strengthening oversight by the board of directors and subcommittees on important company-wide ESG issues, and enhancing disclosures in business reports and governance reports. Regarding this ESG evaluation achievement, Korean Re stated, "With the belief that a high-level ESG culture is directly linked to corporate value, we will continue to sincerely pursue ESG management going forward.”
