The total prize money will reach $69 million (approximately 95.2 billion KRW), the largest ever in PGA Tour Champions history. The season opener, the Mitsubishi Electric Championship, will be held over three days starting January 17 in Hawaii, USA. The season will conclude with the Charles Schwab Cup Championship, the final playoff event, held from November 14 to 17.
The James Hardy Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational (April 5-7) will be newly introduced. A notable change in next year's PGA Tour Champions schedule is the American Family Insurance Championship. This tournament will switch to a two-player team format. The venue will also change from University Ridge Golf Course in Madison, Wisconsin, to TPC Wisconsin.
This year, the PGA Tour Champions held 28 tournaments. From next month, November 7 to 10, the Charles Schwab Cup Championship (with a total prize money of $3 million) will be held in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. Only 36 players will compete to determine the best player. South Korea will be represented by Yang Yong-eun and Choi Kyung-ju.
