Dongjak-gu and Taean-gun Sign Sister City Partnership Agreement

Exchange and Cooperation in Administration, Culture, Tourism, Economy, and Agriculture

On the 31st, Seoul Dongjak-gu (District Mayor Park Il-ha) announced that on the 30th, it signed a sisterhood agreement with Taean-gun, Chungcheongnam-do to promote regional joint development.


The two local governments pursued this sisterhood agreement to establish a system of exchange and cooperation in various fields such as administration, culture, tourism, economy, and agriculture to strengthen urban competitiveness. The two cities plan to discover and promote cooperative projects that leverage the characteristics and strengths of each region, and carry out activities to enhance residents' welfare and revitalize the local economy, such as promoting festivals and tourist attractions and operating direct markets for excellent agricultural and specialty products.


The sisterhood agreement ceremony was held on the 30th at Taean-gun Office, attended by Park Il-ha, Mayor of Dongjak-gu, Ga Se-ro, Mayor of Taean-gun, and other key officials. Taean-gun hosts Dongjak Stay, a recreational facility of Dongjak-gu.


Mayor Park Il-ha said, “I am very honored to establish a sisterhood with Taean-gun, an attractive city with beautiful natural environment as well as various sights and entertainment,” and added, “We will do our best to grow together through mutual cooperation between the two cities in the future.”
