[US Election 2024]
"WP Not Supporting Candidate Due to Harris's Incompetence"
Former U.S. President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump strongly criticized President Joe Biden for mistakenly calling his supporters "trash." On the 27th, a controversy arose over a supporting speaker's "trash island" remark during a rally, putting Biden in a difficult position, but Trump seized the opportunity to counterattack by highlighting Biden's gaffe.
On the 30th (local time), at a rally in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, a key battleground state in the southern Sun Belt, Trump said, "Biden finally revealed how he and Kamala think about our supporters," adding, "He called them (supporters) trash. And he meant it."

On the 27th, a comedian who gave a supporting speech at Trump's rally in New York sparked controversy by calling the U.S. territory Puerto Rico a "trash island." This became a setback for Trump, but when President Biden made a related gaffe, Trump launched a counterattack. Biden had said the day before about the "trash island" remark, "The only trash I see is his (Trump's) supporters," which stirred controversy.
Trump said, "My response to Biden and Harris is very simple: If you don't love Americans, you cannot lead America. If you hate Americans, you cannot be president of America."
This was an attack not only on President Biden, who called his supporters "trash" the day before, but also on Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris.
Earlier, Trump also rebutted Harris's attack calling him a "fascist." He said, "For the past nine years, Kamala and her party (the Democrats) have called us racists, narrow-minded people, fascists, despicable people, hopeless people, Nazis, and called me Hitler," adding, "I am not Hitler."
He went on to comment on recent decisions by media outlets such as The Washington Post (WP), Los Angeles Times, and USA Today not to endorse any candidate in this election, saying, "They only support the Democrats. They say this Democratic candidate is not good," and added, "They think I am doing a great job. They just don't want to say it."
Trump criticized Vice President Harris as "completely incompetent," saying, "No one respects her, trusts her, or takes her seriously."
