On the 30th (local time), the U.S. Department of Commerce announced that the preliminary GDP growth rate for the third quarter of this year was 2.8% compared to the previous quarter.
This is a decline from the last quarter's growth rate of 3.0% and also fell short of the 3.1% expert forecast compiled by Dow Jones.
