POSCO E&C announced on the 30th that it plans to launch sales next month for 'The Sharp First World,' which will be built on the site of the Sangbong Terminal in Seoul.
The Sharp First World will be constructed in the area of 83-1 Sangbong-dong, Jungnang-gu (Sangbong 9 Redevelopment Promotion Zone) with 5 buildings ranging from 8 basement floors to 49 above-ground floors, comprising a total of 999 residential units with exclusive areas of 39 to 118㎡. Among these, 800 units will be available for general sale. The number of units by exclusive area is ▲39㎡ 50 units ▲44㎡ 35 units ▲59㎡ 41 units ▲84㎡ 244 units ▲98㎡ 346 units ▲118㎡ 84 units. Retail facilities (25,913㎡), cultural and assembly facilities (2,987㎡), and neighborhood living facilities (521㎡) will also be developed. Additionally, 308 officetel units (exclusive area 84㎡) will be supplied in the future.
Transportation conditions are convenient, with both Mangu Station and Sangbong Station within walking distance, allowing easy access to five lines including the Gyeongchun Line, Gyeongui-Jungang Line, Line 7, KTX, and the planned 수도권광역급행철도 (GTX)-B line. The area is also well connected by major roads such as the Bukbu Expressway, Dongbu Expressway, Seoul Ring Expressway, and Sejong-Pocheon Expressway.
The living infrastructure is abundant. It is convenient to use various amenities such as Costco, Homeplus, Enter Six, CGV, Seoul Northern Hospital, and Seoul Medical Center. Approximately 8,900 pyeong (about 29,400㎡) of retail and cultural facilities are planned on the lower floors of the complex (basement levels 1 to 2).
Nearby schools include Myeonmok Elementary, Junghwa Elementary, Sangbong Middle, Jangan Middle, Junghwa High, and Hyewon Girls' High School. The area is also close to Jungnangcheon Stream, Bonghwasan Mountain, Mangu Mountain, Yongma Land, Bonghwasan Neighborhood Park, and Jungnang Family Camping Site, providing a pleasant residential environment. Furthermore, redevelopment projects are underway in the surrounding Sangbong 7 District, Sangbong 9-1 District, and Sangbong 13 District, which are expected to significantly improve the residential environment.
The design, considering residents' convenience, is also notable. Although the 39㎡ and 44㎡ units are small, they feature spacious living rooms, which POSCO E&C expects to be highly preferred by the increasing number of 1-2 person households. The 84㎡ units include pantries, utility rooms, and dressing rooms, making efficient use of space, while the 98㎡ units will feature wide kitchens. The 118㎡ units offer a 5-bay layout, providing a more comfortable living space.
A sales official stated, "There have been many inquiries from prospective buyers even before the sales launch due to the development news of Sangbong Terminal, which holds memories for citizens in northeastern Seoul," adding, "The Sharp First World is expected to become the first landmark in this area, which is anticipated to undergo a complete transformation through future redevelopment projects."
