This 'Romanticism Festival' is part of the 'Cultural Regional Revitalization Project Responding to Extinction Crisis,' jointly planned by the Arts Council and Cloud Cultures, and is expected to host more than 50 young artists nationwide interested in artistic creation in fields such as dance, visual arts, theater, video, and music.

In particular, dancer Woo Tae-uk, who gained recognition by participating in the 2024 Los Angeles Dance Festival in the United States, will participate, drawing even more attention.

With the official opening declaration on November 1, festival participants will be provided with team creative spaces to carry out collaborative creative activities that highlight the characteristics of each artistic field. The creations will be presented to local residents in the form of performances and exhibitions on the 2nd.

Kang Soon-pil, a sommelier who received great acclaim at the 'Concert with Wine' held at Sobaeksan Art Village in 2022, will participate to offer a meeting of wine and art.

Sommelier Kang Soon-pil is a wine expert who served as a German wine quality evaluation committee member. He will present wines that match the theme and atmosphere of the creations, providing local residents with a new experience to enjoy the works along with taste and aroma. Details regarding festival applications can be found on the Cloud Cultures website.

The Sobaeksan Art Village, where the festival is held, is a place where the late Jo Jae-hyun, father of Cloud Cultures’ representative Jo Guk-won, refurbished a closed elementary school building in 2001 to lay the foundation for the development of local culture and arts.

Jung Byung-guk, chairman of the Arts Council, said, "It is a very meaningful movement that a private organization has taken the lead in creating a place where the region and art meet, providing a networking platform for young artists to share their visions." He added, "Through the festival, we will establish practical support measures and plans to ensure the long-term growth of Sobaeksan Art Village and enable young artists nationwide to work in a stable creative environment."

The '2024 Cultural Regional Revitalization Project Responding to Extinction Crisis' is a project aimed at improving residential conditions through the enjoyment of culture and arts and the enhancement of cultural welfare. Among 107 nationwide population decline and interest areas, six regions (Goseong, Gangwon; Taebaek, Gangwon; Ganghwa, Incheon; Gangjin, Jeonnam; Yeongju, Gyeongbuk; Ulleung, Gyeongbuk) were selected in April this year to collaborate and promote the project jointly with the Arts Council.
