Earn Money by Walking and Biking with 'YapitMove'... Reaches 1 Million Users

Since its launch in May last year, the total distance walked by Yafit Move users has reached approximately 5,682 laps around the Earth, which is also equivalent to about 115 round trips from the Earth to the Moon by bicycle.

Users have accumulated about 3.5 billion mileage points that can be used like cash. The total number of times products were exchanged at the mileage shop using the earned mileage is 147,535 times, with CU convenience store product vouchers ranking first at 32,878 times, Mega Coffee vouchers second at 23,977 times, and Starbucks vouchers third at 20,484 times.

There are 13 users who have logged in to Yafit Move every single day, and they have accessed the app for 522 consecutive days since its launch.

The service provides rewards for all location-based activities, with the biggest feature being that it rewards not only walking but also bicycle riding. After downloading the app and linking it with smartphone physical activity data, walking or riding accumulates energy points for the day. One energy point is earned per 100 steps, and 10 energy points per 1 km.

Both walking and riding can accumulate up to 100 energy points per day, with a total maximum of 200 energy points. Additionally, bonus mileage points can be earned through surprise missions, watching advertisements, and playing games. The energy accumulated during the day must be converted into mileage by midnight daily. The collected mileage can be exchanged in the app’s mileage shop for various food and beverage coupons such as coffee, hamburgers, and chicken, as well as bookstore or convenience store gift cards.

Kim Jeong-su, CEO of Yanadoo, stated, "To provide more diverse benefits to Yafit Move users, we plan to introduce Let's Dudu, where users find the Dudu character and accumulate points, and Move Select, a wellness mall. Through key location-based advertisements, we will offer users more rewards while actively pursuing revenue generation by improving advertising sales."

So far, Yafit Move has engaged in various collaborations, including the 'Energy & Donation Riding Campaign' for greenhouse gas reduction with the Korea Energy Agency, Seoul Energy Corporation, and Seoul Bicycle Ddareungi, and a donation campaign with convenience store CU to improve the living conditions of descendants of independence activists.

Based on the motivation know-how accumulated in the education market, Yanadoo entered the home training market by launching 'Yafit Cycle' and expanded its existing edutech-centered business structure into a sports tech-based healthcare business. The company plans to grow into an AI-based sports and edutech company encompassing both edutech and healthcare fields and aims to go public.
