The police are conducting a search and seizure of the Korean Progressive Alliance on charges of violating the National Security Act.
The National Police Agency's Security Investigation Bureau announced that this morning, investigators were sent to the Korean Progressive Alliance office in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, to carry out the search and seizure.
The Korean Progressive Alliance was established in 2007 by 22 organizations and regional groups, including the National Council for National Independence, Peace and Unification, the National Council of Democratic Workers, the National Peasants Federation, and the Korean University Students Progressive Union, along with the Progressive Party.
It is known to have led, together with other progressive organizations, the "Yoon Seok-yeol Regime Resignation Rally" held in front of Sungnyemun in Jung-gu, Seoul, on the 28th of last month.
