Jinju City in Gyeongnam will hold the Jinyangho Park Autumn Festival at Dynamic Square in front of the Dream Nurturing Hill at the back gate of Jinyangho Park on November 2nd from 1 PM to 5 PM.
The autumn festival at Jinyangho Park in Jinju City is being held under the theme "Memory Trip: Those Days."
The Jinyangho Park Autumn Festival, themed "Memory Trip: Those Days," started in 2022 and is now in its third year. True to its retro vibe, the festival features nostalgic performances and various hands-on activities.
The event begins with a Family Golden Bell quiz, followed by recreational activities, Korean traditional music ensembles, magic & circus shows, and fusion madanggeuk (traditional Korean outdoor play), creating a lively atmosphere. About 50 families can participate in the Family Golden Bell through on-site registration.
Traditional games such as ttakji-chigi (paper tile flipping) and jegichagi (shuttlecock kicking) along with diverse experiential activities are also prepared. The Family Mind Rest Area offers opportunities for families to communicate and relax through picture book reading, picture book therapy, and five-element therapy.
Participants can post reviews of their experiences on the Jinyangho Park website and SNS or subscribe (like and set notifications) to the Jinyangho Park YouTube channel to receive memory experience coupons. These coupons can be exchanged for various nostalgic experiences at places like the Memory Stationery Store and Our Home, including making dalgona (Korean sugar candy), riding a nostalgic rickshaw, grilling jjondeugi (traditional Korean snack), playing lottery games, cutting paper dolls, playing the nostalgic nail hammering game, and making protective pollack charms. Additionally, there is an experience to make homemade mom-style snacks.
A city official said, “We are fully prepared to ensure a safe and enjoyable time, so we hope many families will participate this weekend to reminisce about those days together.”
