The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association (President Song Pil-ho) announced on the 30th that actress Su-ae will participate in the narration talent donation for the "I am a Firefighter" campaign video, which calls for the improvement of treatment and social awareness of firefighters.
The video featuring Su-ae can be viewed on Hope Bridge's official YouTube and Instagram channels on November 9, Firefighters' Day. This is the second time a famous star has participated in the campaign, following Park Hae-il.
The campaign allows anyone to participate by signing a statement demanding better treatment for firefighters. The statement includes △ systematic institutional improvements for the physical and mental safety of firefighters △ expansion of rest facilities for a safe working environment △ enhancement of welfare for the families of firefighters who died in the line of duty. An event is also held where 40 participants are selected by monthly draw to receive a pouch upcycled from firefighting gear and a firefighter figure keyring as gifts.
Su-ae has consistently practiced the value of sharing, including donating 50 million won to Hope Bridge in 2020 to overcome COVID-19. She is about to be appointed as a member of the "Hope Bridge Honors Club," a private high-donation club.
Su-ae said, "I express my deep respect and gratitude to the firefighters who dedicate themselves to public safety," and added, "I hope many people will join this campaign."
Shin Hoon, Secretary General of Hope Bridge, said, "We thank Su-ae for her continuous positive influence as well as her participation this time, and we ask for much interest and participation so that awareness and treatment improvements for firefighters can be realized."
