186 New Accountants Joined This Year Engage in Various Volunteer Activities
Newly Added Care for Abandoned Dogs Reflects Employee Feedback
Held Twice Annually... Participation from New Accountants and Employees
Samil PwC and the Samil Future Foundation announced on the 30th that they conducted volunteer activities for newly hired certified public accountants through the 'Hands Up Project,' a voluntary volunteer activity by new CPAs.
The 186 new accountants who participated in this project engaged in various volunteer activities around Yongsan-gu, Seoul, starting from the 21st of last month. A total of six activities were carried out, including baking bread for love, briquette sharing, children's economic education, caring for abandoned dogs, and kimchi sharing. From this year, based on employees' opinions, caring for abandoned dogs was newly added.
CPA Gong Min-gyeong said, "This has been a field I was interested in, and I was happy to participate as the company provided a good opportunity," adding, "I want to actively participate in various volunteer activities that contribute to the development of the local community in the future." Additionally, CPA Eun Jong-wook, who participated in the children's economic education activity, stated, "It was a very meaningful time to serve the local community by utilizing my professional knowledge," and added, "Through this activity, I realized the importance of social responsibility as a professional and was motivated to develop my personal capabilities."
The Hands Up Project is held twice a year, with employees participating in the first half and newly hired CPAs leading the activities in the second half. In the first half of this year, more than 800 employees participated.
Song Yeon-ju, Secretary General of the Samil Future Foundation, said, "The Hands Up Project will be a great opportunity to strengthen community spirit and learn how to communicate with society," and added, "We will continue to establish a healthy corporate culture that fosters both professionalism and social responsibility through this project."
