CNN "Small Number of North Korean Troops Already Infiltrated Ukraine Border"

North Korean troops deployed to Russia have already infiltrated the Ukrainian border, CNN reported on the 29th (local time).

CNN cited two Western intelligence officials saying, "A small number of North Korean troops have already infiltrated inside Ukraine," and "If North Korean troops complete training in eastern Russia and move to the front lines, the scale of infiltration forces is expected to increase." One official said, "It appears that a significant number of North Korean troops are already on the move."

CNN stated, "It is still unclear how much the North Korean troops will help Russia on the battlefield."

Earlier, the U.S. Department of Defense and the State Department announced that North Korea had dispatched about 10,000 troops to Russia for training. Some have already been confirmed to have moved closer to the Ukrainian side.

However, a U.S. official expressed that they could not confirm reports that North Korean troops had infiltrated Ukraine.
