Accepting original creative phrases within 30 characters fitting the winter season... Six works selected by the Review Committee, 1 winning piece awarded 500,000 KRW Seoul Love Gift Certificate
Jungnang-gu (District Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) is holding a contest for the winter edition of the ‘Jungnang Happiness Bulletin’ from November 1 to November 14.
The theme of this contest is winter, and it seeks original creative phrases within 30 characters that can resonate with all generations and convey warm emotions to offer comfort.
Anyone residing or working in the area can participate, and each person may submit one entry.
Submissions can be made through the Jungnang-gu Office website under → Citizen Participation → Internet Submission → District Office section. If online submission is difficult, entries can also be submitted in person at the Jungnang-gu Office Administrative Support Division or by mail.
After submission, the phrases will be reviewed by a selection committee composed of internal and external members. A total of six works will be selected from the entries, with the winning entry (1 work) receiving 500,000 KRW and five runner-up entries each receiving 100,000 KRW, totaling approximately 1,000,000 KRW in Seoul Love Gift Certificates.
The selected winning phrase will be displayed with a fitting design on the outer wall of the Jungnang-gu Office building from December this year through February next year.
Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “We ask for many participants in this winter edition of the Jungnang Happiness Bulletin so that residents can feel warm comfort through their phrases during the cold winter. We hope that reading phrases that capture the four seasons will bring small happiness to everyday life.”
In the previous autumn edition contest, Kim Kyung-hwa’s phrase, “Like autumn dyed with maple leaves, your smile colors everyone’s hearts,” was selected as the winning entry.
