Presidential Special Advisor for Foreign Affairs and Security Jang Hojin visited Australia on the 28th and 29th, meeting with Penny Wong, Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Greg Moriarty, Deputy Secretary of the Australian Department of Defence, and Andrew Shearer, Director-General of the Australian Secret Intelligence Service, among others, to exchange views on ways to develop a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries and on regional issues such as Russia-North Korea military cooperation, the Presidential Office announced on the 29th.
Special Advisor Jang provided a detailed explanation of the superior capabilities of our warships, developed based on actual combat experience, in relation to Australia's ongoing frigate acquisition project, and requested Australia's interest and consideration, the Presidential Office reported.
