MainBiz Association Successfully Concludes '2024 Venture Startup SW Development Talent Matching Festival'

The Korea Management Innovation Small and Medium Business Association (MainBiz Association) announced on the 29th that it successfully concluded the '2024 Venture Startup SW Development Talent Matching Festival' held on the 28th at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.


Hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and co-organized by six private associations including the MainBiz Association, this event was organized to secure software (SW) specialized personnel for small and medium venture enterprises.

Centered around MainBiz certified companies, over 200 companies from various fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, cloud platforms, and manufacturing participated, creating a meeting place for about 3,000 job seekers in the software development field.


Senior students majoring in software from four universities cooperating with the MainBiz Association?Kyungpook National University, Keimyung University, Daegu Catholic University, and Yeungnam University?as well as students from 20 universities nationwide participated, filling the venue with enthusiasm.


Recruitment booths of promising MainBiz certified companies such as Wiley Co., Ltd., Cloud Networks Co., Ltd., Sesstek Co., Ltd., and Ruken Technologies Co., Ltd. attracted particular attention.


The event featured a special lecture by Kakao Bank manager Shin Giyong, a current developer, and a job competency enhancement lecture by YouTuber Moving Water, which received enthusiastic responses from participants. Additionally, through a software panel talk titled 'I am a Developer,' participants had the opportunity to resolve their questions and receive advice from experts.


Kim Seongseop, Vice Minister of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, encouraged participating job seekers and companies, saying, "I am confident this will be a valuable opportunity for talented young people to find chances to demonstrate their abilities and for our companies to find excellent talent to realize innovative ideas."


Kim Myungjin, President of the MainBiz Association, said, "This event was a meaningful occasion providing a meeting place for domestic and international talents and companies in the software field," adding, "The MainBiz Association will continue to promote various support projects reflecting the hiring and employment needs of companies and students."


Meanwhile, the MainBiz Association operates the management innovation-type small and medium enterprise verification system, currently discovering and verifying about 23,000 management innovation-type SMEs, and is a small business economic organization with approximately 5,500 regular members and 96 branches nationwide (7 federations).
