'2024 Pyeongchang-gun Farmers' Day' Event Held

Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Governor Shim Jae-guk) held the 29th Farmers' Day event for 2024 on the 29th at Pyeongchang Comprehensive Stadium in Pyeongchang-eup, gathering farmers, agricultural organizations, agricultural and livestock cooperatives, and related institutions in Pyeongchang-gun to celebrate Farmers' Day (November 11).

On the 29th, at the Pyeongchang Sports Complex in Pyeongchang-eup, the '2024 Pyeongchang-gun Farmers' Day' event was held to celebrate the 29th Farmers' Day (November 11). Farmers from Pyeongchang-gun, agricultural organizations, agricultural and livestock cooperatives, and related institutions gathered for the event. The Farmers' Day event is the biggest festival and commemorative event for farmers who have worked hard throughout the year. It was hosted by Pyeongchang-gun and local agricultural and livestock cooperatives, and organized by the Pyeongchang-gun Chamber of Agriculture and Fisheries and six agricultural learning organizations.

Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Pyeongchang-gun held the "2024 Pyeongchang-gun Farmers' Day" event on the 29th at Pyeongchang Comprehensive Stadium in Pyeongchang-eup to celebrate the 29th Farmers' Day (November 11). Farmers, agricultural organizations, agricultural and livestock cooperatives, and related institutions from Pyeongchang-gun gathered for the event.

The event was attended by about 1,500 people, including Shim Jae-guk, Governor of Pyeongchang-gun, Nam Jin-sam, Chairman of the Pyeongchang-gun Council, agricultural organizations within Pyeongchang-gun, farmers, and their families. The program proceeded in the order of a pre-ceremony performance, opening ceremony, sports events, and congratulatory performances. Especially at the opening ceremony, awards and plaques of appreciation were presented to contributors to agricultural development in various fields, emphasizing the significance of the Farmers' Day event.

Pyeongchang-gun operated promotional booths at the event venue to actively promote rural projects conducted by the county, including ▲introduction of rural guidance projects ▲promotion of excellent agricultural specialties ▲mini drone experience ▲exhibition of rental agricultural machinery.

Lee Yong-ha, Director of the Agricultural Policy Division of Pyeongchang-gun, said, "The Farmers' Day event in Pyeongchang-gun is a meaningful occasion to encourage our farmers and share the importance of agriculture and rural areas," adding, "I hope it was a time for Pyeongchang-gun farmers to unite and communicate."
