Yeoju City Launches Pilot Operation of 'Pet-Friendly Tourism' 'Pet-Friendly Tourism' Program Pilot Operation.

The Gyeonggi Yeoju Sejong Culture and Tourism Foundation (Chairman Lee Sun-yeol) announced on the 29th that it will pilot a 'Pet-Friendly Tourism' program throughout November, utilizing tourist attractions and facilities in Yeoju City.


This program was prepared to keep pace with the era of 15 million pet owners and to help Yeoju City leap forward as a tourism city where visitors can travel with their pets.


The pilot program is divided into day trips and extended stays, offering a variety of experiences that can be enjoyed with pets, including a vehicle service departing from Seoul, pottery making workshops, 'Daengdaeng Camp,' and the 'Daengdaeng Classical Music Concert.'


In particular, the program will utilize 'Banryeomaru,' the largest pet-themed park in Gyeonggi Province located in Sanggeo-dong, Yeoju City, to provide various activities such as walking etiquette education, grooming, and mini sports events.


Additionally, visitors can create special memories traveling with their pets along the serene Namhangang riverside at Gangcheon Island and Geumeunmorae Riverside Park, as well as the charming Hangeul Market in Yeoju, where they can fully enjoy the autumn atmosphere.


Yeoju residents and Yeoju hometown love donors are eligible for priority reservations. Detailed information about the program can be found on the websites of Yeoju City and the Yeoju Sejong Culture and Tourism Foundation.


Lee Sun-yeol, Chairman of the Yeoju Sejong Culture and Tourism Foundation, stated, "Yeoju City currently lacks sufficient restaurants and accommodations that allow pets," adding, "Through this pilot operation, we aim to understand the needs of pet owners and develop pet-friendly tourism content where they can create precious memories with their pets."


He continued, "We will continuously discover and expand content utilizing Yeoju City's abundant cultural and tourism resources to prepare diverse tourism programs."
