Confirmation of Compliance with Environmental Standards Based on Air Pollution Mobile Measurement Vehicle Results
As a result of measuring the air quality near the Paju LCD public wastewater treatment facility, all items comply with the air quality standards. On the 29th, Paju City in Gyeonggi announced that air quality near the Paju LCD public wastewater treatment facility complies with all air quality standards.
This measurement was conducted over 15 days from the 2nd to the 16th through a mobile measurement vehicle, with the cooperation of the Seoul Metropolitan Air Quality Management Office.
The measured items included six substances: nitrogen dioxide (NO2), particulate matter (PM10), fine particulate matter (PM2.5), sulfur dioxide (SO₂), carbon monoxide (CO), and ozone (O₃), all of which were confirmed to meet environmental standards.
The city regularly conducts odor measurements at the LCD public wastewater treatment facility, but this air quality measurement was carried out to more actively manage whether air pollution is caused by the treatment facility.
Jo Yoon-ok, Director of the Environmental Guidance Division, stated, “This measurement helped alleviate residents’ concerns about odors around the facility and served as an opportunity to enhance trust in the operation of the wastewater treatment facility. We will continue to strengthen environmental management through regular inspections.”
