'1.65 Million Subscribers' Entrance Exam and Education YouTuber
YouTuber Mimiminu (real name Kim Min-woo), who has 1.65 million subscribers, denied allegations of being a user of Ilbe (a far-right community 'Ilgan Best').
On the 28th, Mimiminu posted a statement titled "Statement Regarding Malicious Edits Circulating on a Certain Community" on his fan cafe. He said, "Currently, images from my live broadcasts and images edited to combine videos related to former presidents are spreading on a certain community," adding, "Those who have consistently watched my broadcasts and supported me know that this is a malicious edit that I firmly deny with all my heart." He continued, "Viewers do not need to worry," and added, "Thank you always for loving my videos."
Earlier, a netizen raised suspicions that "Mimiminu might be a member of Ilbe," attaching records of him watching YouTube videos related to the late former President Roh Moo-hyun.
Meanwhile, Mimiminu is a YouTube creator producing content on college entrance exams and education based on his relatively long exam preparation period. He graduated from Yongin Hankuk University of Foreign Studies High School, retook the college entrance exam to enter Hongik University, then took it a third time to enter Dongguk University, a fourth time for Hanyang University, and finally entered Korea University’s Department of Public Administration on his fifth attempt. He is currently appearing as a panelist on Channel A’s entertainment program "Please Take Care of My Grades: Teachers."
