Joo Gwang-deok, Mayor of Namyangju City, participated in the relay campaign "Respecting Children as They Are, Positive Parenting" to prevent child abuse on the 25th.

Joo Gwang-deok, mayor of Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province, participated in the relay campaign "Respect Children as They Are, Positive Parenting" to prevent child abuse on the 25th.

According to Namyangju City on the 28th, this campaign has been promoted since May under the supervision of the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Child Rights Protection Agency to raise awareness about positive parenting. The campaign continues until the 18th Child Abuse Prevention Day (November 19) by having participating organizations nominate the next participant.

Joo Gwang-deok, mayor of Namyangju City, who joined the relay campaign upon the nomination of Shin Sang-jin, mayor of Seongnam City, said, "I hope that through this campaign, the culture of positive parenting that respects children as they are will widely spread in Namyangju City." He nominated Bang Se-hwan, mayor of Gwangju City, and Seo Eun-kyung, head of the Guri Namyangju Office of Education, as the next participants.

Namyangju City is making various efforts to strengthen the child protection system, including maintaining a 24-hour dedicated child abuse response team, operating a crisis child response team, and conducting joint inspections with related organizations to prevent child abuse.
