At the Dongdaemun-gu Education Expo, various information was provided and customized consulting was supported for students about to enter high school and their parents. In addition, a 4th Industrial Revolution experience booth was operated where children and adolescents could enjoy and experience future technologies. Through this, a place was created to help children and adolescents design and realize their dreams.
In the multipurpose auditorium, 1:1 consultation booths and school-specific briefings were held, allowing students and parents to obtain tailored information for future career planning.
A total of 10 schools participated in this expo, including six general high schools: ▲Kyunghee Girls' High School ▲Dongdaebu High School ▲Cheongnyang High School ▲Haeseong Girls' High School ▲Hwikyung Girls' High School ▲Hwibong High School; two autonomous private high schools: ▲Kyunghee High School ▲Daekwang High School; and two specialized high schools: ▲Haeseong International Convention High School ▲Seoul Jeonghwa High School. A special lecture related to the ‘High School Credit System and the 2028 College Entrance Reform Plan’ was also held, providing extensive information on the changing curriculum.
This education expo became a festival created together by local schools and a valuable opportunity for elementary, middle, and high school students to share experiences and dreams while preparing for the future.
In fact, five local school clubs participated, running experience booths and busking performances, creating a diverse event. Students from Dongdaebu Middle School’s ‘Nirvana’ and Seoul Jeonghwa High School’s ‘Hwayangyeonhwa’ clubs gave passionate performances, while students from Kyunghee Girls' High School, Daekwang High School, and Haeseong Girls' High School provided various hands-on activities for children at their club experience booths. A child who participated in the oxidation-reduction experiment conducted by Daekwang High School’s ‘Science Lab’ club said, “The experiment process feels like magic,” showing great concentration.
Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, said, “We will continue to do our best so that Dongdaemun-gu can be a reliable partner for students and parents in resolving concerns about careers and admissions and moving forward toward their dreams.”
