Over 40 young people from Gwangju and Daegu gathered in Gwangju to discuss youth policies and experience culture and arts.

On the 28th, Gwangju City announced, "The day before, the Gwangju Youth Committee and the Daegu Youth Policy Network hosted the 'Youth Moonlight Exchange Event' in Gwangju." This event is part of the 'Gwangju-Daegu Moonlight Alliance' between youth participation organizations, where youth committee members from the two regions have been exchanging friendship and discussing joint development plans through exchanges for nine years since 2016. This year, over 40 participants from both regions took part.

The Gwangju Youth Committee consists of 50 young people aged 19 to 39 and plays a role in proposing youth policies for Gwangju City by collecting opinions from local youth and conducting research activities on youth policies.

On the day, the Gwangju Youth Committee introduced Daegu youth to Gwangju as a 'city of culture and arts' by visiting the Gwangju Video Complex Culture Center, which supports opportunities for experiencing and learning cultural content as well as exhibiting and marketing creative content, and the National Asia Culture Center (ACC). In particular, at the Gwangju Independent Film Theater (GIFT), they shared concerns and sought solutions through presentations and open discussions on youth policies in Gwangju and Daegu.

Kwon Yoon-sook, head of the Youth Policy Division of Gwangju City, said, "The Youth Moonlight Exchange is one of the joint cooperation projects of the Moonlight Alliance established between Gwangju and Daegu," adding, "Since it is a case that can contribute to forming cooperative relationships not only between youth in the two regions but also with youth participation organizations nationwide, we will continue to support close cooperation in the future."

Meanwhile, the Gwangju Youth Committee also participated in the 'National Youth Policy Network Exchange Meeting' held in Daegu on the 12th, where they exchanged with youth participation organizations from across the country, including Daegu.
