C-commerce (Chinese e-commerce) platform AliExpress announced that it will officially open its domestic food channel starting from the 28th.

AliExpress Korea's food channel will be launched through K-Venue, a specialized Korean product pavilion, and all food products sold here will be shipped directly from Korea.

Ali Launches Food Market Offensive... Opens Korea-Exclusive Food Hall

K-Venue is a domestic product-exclusive sales channel launched by AliExpress last October, operating in a similar manner to existing open markets in e-commerce.

Along with the opening of the food pavilion, AliExpress is running discount promotions. Consumers can purchase products at special prices through the 'Weekly Deal' section, which is updated every week. The 'Essential Items for Our Home Refrigerator' section offers frequently purchased essential food items at affordable prices.

Special discounted prices are provided in collaboration with partner sellers, along with discount coupons. During the CJ CheilJedang encore promotion running until the 31st, over 200 popular products such as Hetbahn, Spam, and Bibigo Wang Gyoja will be offered at special benefit prices. Additionally, by using seller coupons, customers can receive extra benefits such as a 2,000 KRW discount on purchases over 20,000 KRW and a 5,000 KRW discount on purchases over 30,000 KRW.

Lim Jonghan, AliExpress Korea’s food product planner (MD), stated, "We are enhancing various benefits and curation so that customers can purchase high-quality food products carefully selected by MDs at competitive prices without worrying about grocery prices." He added, "Through the weekly updated selection, we plan to provide customers with the joy of browsing and offer a more enjoyable shopping experience."

Meanwhile, AliExpress recently concluded the 'AliExpress × CJ CheilJedang' donation event, which started in July, and held a donation ceremony. This donation delivers plant-based alternative products to children and adolescents in need of care through CJ Donors Camp, the CJ Sharing Foundation.
