The Goyang Cultural Foundation (Chairman Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 28th that it will hold the ‘Busking & Healing Project IN Norumok’ at 7 p.m. on November 8 at the Norumok Outdoor Theater in Goyang Aram Nuri.

This performance, held at Norumok Outdoor Theater, an open-air venue surrounded by Jeongbalsan, is the third series following jazz and melody concepts. As domestic band music has recently regained attention and the rock scene is experiencing new vitality, it returns with a more intense sound.

This year, 'Glen Check,' a leading figure in domestic rock festivals, will appear as the main artist. Glen Check, known for its refreshing synth-pop sound, consists of three members: Kim Jun-won, Kang Hyuk-jun, and Jaybo. They gained attention in 2012 with ‘60’s Cardin.’ In 2013 and 2014, they won the ‘Best Dance & Electronic Album’ at the Korean Music Awards for two consecutive years, earning recognition for their musicality and performing on global festival stages.

Four bands belonging to ‘Goyang Buskers,’ who are actively performing in Goyang City, will participate: KlaFF, Hyunta Band, Rain O’clock, and Samatdi. As official street performance groups of Goyang City, they will showcase raw energy on stage.

KlaFF, composed of vocals, guitar, drums, and bass, demonstrates the power of Goyang Buskers’ rock bands with the slogan “The Universe’s Strongest Band KlaFF.” Hyunta Band, a fusion of string and percussion instruments, presents a unique and distinctive sound with funkiness and swing. Rain O’clock, consisting of vocals, guitar, piano, bass, and drums, delivers happiness and comfort as a refreshing rain to the audience’s hearts. Samatdi, which will showcase Korean rock sounds, is a percussion project group based on traditional Korean percussion instruments, demonstrating the power of various Korean instruments and voices.

Meanwhile, ‘Goyang Buskers,’ an official street performance group operated by the Goyang Cultural Foundation, consists of over 160 teams across various genres including instruments, bands, singing, magic, and performance. They perform street shows for citizens every weekend at Ilsan Lake Park, Laikins Mall, Lafesta, and other locations.

Nam Hyun, CEO of the Goyang Cultural Foundation, said, “This is a special occasion where Goyang Buskers, composed of diverse members from newcomers to veterans, meet the representative indie band ‘Glen Check,’ which operates independently.” He added, “The synergy they create will heat up even the cold air of early winter.”

The performance is free of charge, and admission is on a first-come, first-served basis without prior reservation. Detailed information about the performance can be found on the Goyang Cultural Foundation website, and inquiries can be made to the foundation.
