Hamyang-gun Selected as an Excellent Institution in the 'Gyeongnam Province Road Maintenance Evaluation'

Received High Ratings Across 12 Areas Including Packaging, Structural Repairs, and Drainage Facility Maintenance

Hamyang County in Gyeongnam announced on the 28th that it was selected as an 'Excellent Institution' among the county-level regions in Gyeongnam Province based on the results of the 2024 road maintenance and inspection evaluation conducted for 18 cities and counties within Gyeongnam.

Gyeongnam Province conducts frequent inspections to maintain road functionality and prevent safety accidents, and performs road maintenance inspections and evaluations twice a year targeting cities and counties within the province to assess the actual state of road management.

This evaluation is a comprehensive inspection result reflecting 40% from the spring road maintenance inspection conducted in May this year and 60% from the autumn road maintenance inspection conducted in October. Hamyang County achieved the great success of being selected as an excellent institution among the county-level regions in Gyeongnam.

In the evaluation, Hamyang County received high marks in all 12 categories of road maintenance evaluation items, including pavement repair, structure repair, drainage facility maintenance, and snow removal operations.

County Governor Jin Byeong-yeong said, “The good results in the Gyeongnam road maintenance evaluation are the outcome of our efforts to resolve inconveniences for residents and provide a pleasant road environment,” adding, “We will continue to focus administrative efforts on providing residents with a comfortable and safe road environment.”
