Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Flight Plan Departing from Baengnyeongdo Revealed
"The Shameless Provocation of Korean Military Thugs Exposed"
North Korea announced the results of disassembling a drone that violated Pyongyang airspace and crashed. Analyzing the embedded program revealed that Baengnyeongdo in the West Sea was the takeoff point, and all recorded flight data since last year occurred within South Korean territory. This reiterated the claim that the drone's flight operator was the South Korean military.
On the 27th, North Korea announced the final investigation results of the 'sovereignty violation provocation incident confirming the takeoff point, intrusion route, and intrusion purpose of the drone originating from the Republic of Korea.' They even created graphics showing how the drone, which took off from Baengnyeongdo as claimed by North Korea, flew until it reached Pyongyang airspace.
The spokesperson stated, "The analysis results of the enemy drone's flight control program conducted by the Joint Investigation Group have irrefutably proven the most despicable and shameless provocative identity of the South Korean military thugs, who have persistently evaded responsibility for illegally intruding a drone into the airspace of our nation's capital." He added that North Korea collected evidence including 238 flight plans and flight records created between June last year and October this year, noting that except for the 8th of this month, all flights occurred within South Korean territory.
The spokesperson explained, "According to the analysis of the flight control program, when drafting a flight plan, a political propaganda dispersal plan must also be created, and upon reaching the location reflected in the dispersal plan, the flight control module sends an electrical signal to the dispersal device." He said, "Analyzing the flight data number of the enemy drone that intruded and crashed in our country on the 8th, the enemy drone precisely recorded the political propaganda dispersal plan and the history of dispersal."
According to the graphic produced by North Korea showing the drone's flight path on the 8th, the aircraft ascended clockwise along the West Sea coast from Baengnyeongdo and entered Pyongyang airspace. It was supposed to return along the same route back to Baengnyeongdo, but the drone crashed, and North Korea claims to have obtained its wreckage.
Following the announcement by North Korea's Ministry of Defense, Kim Yo-jong, Deputy Director of the Workers' Party, issued another 'vulgar statement.'
Kim Yo-jong, assuming a 'hypothetical situation,' said, "An unidentified drone appeared over Seoul airspace, and leaflets criticizing Yoon Gwe-rye were dispersed," adding, "Neither our military nor any individual or organization flew the drone, and we cannot confirm it nor is it worth responding to."
This mocked the South Korean government's response of 'unable to confirm' regarding the problematic drone by fabricating an opposite scenario. She added, "I want to see just once how the filthy pack of Seoul street dogs foam at the mouth and bark in such a situation," and "The world would be curious as well."
