Broadcaster-turned-announcer Yoo Young-jae (60) has been revealed to have registered a woman, referred to as A, who is suspected to be in a common-law relationship with him, as an additional driver on his vehicle amid his divorce from actress Sunwoo Eun-sook (64).

On the 10th, the Suwon Family Court Seongnam Branch Family Division 1 held the second hearing of the annulment lawsuit filed by Sunwoo Eun-sook against Yoo Young-jae. Earlier, Sunwoo Eun-sook’s side submitted a fact inquiry request from a certain capital company to the court in September, which included details that Yoo Young-jae had registered A, suspected to be in a common-law relationship, as an additional driver on his vehicle.

According to the details, Yoo Young-jae registered A as an additional driver on a vehicle used by himself and his family in 2020. After officially registering his marriage with Sunwoo Eun-sook on September 1, 2022, the couple became legally married, and about a month later, on October 18, he removed A and added Sunwoo Eun-sook as an additional driver. Based on this, Sunwoo Eun-sook’s side claimed, "Yoo Young-jae had registered A as an additional driver for about two years before marriage and maintained this status until about a month after the marriage."

According to a report by Ilgan Sports on the 27th, No Jong-eon, a lawyer from the law firm Jonja representing Sunwoo Eun-sook, stated, "A was registered as a user of the vehicle used by the family until a month after Yoo Young-jae married Sunwoo Eun-sook," adding, "This was submitted as one of the pieces of evidence to prove that Yoo Young-jae was in a common-law relationship with A." Yoo Young-jae has not yet released an official statement regarding this matter.

Previously, Yoo Young-jae and Sunwoo Eun-sook announced their divorce in April, one year and six months after their remarriage. Subsequently, Sunwoo Eun-sook stated in an official statement, "Two days after the divorce, I learned through media reports that Yoo Young-jae had hidden his common-law relationship and got married," and filed an annulment lawsuit. Furthermore, it was revealed that Yoo Young-jae was accused of forcibly molesting Sunwoo Eun-sook’s elder sister, causing a scandal.

On the 21st, Sunwoo Eun-sook’s side announced, "The Suwon District Prosecutors’ Office Seongnam Branch recognized the charges against Yoo Young-jae for violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes, etc. (forcible molestation within family relations) concerning Sunwoo Eun-sook’s elder sister on the 18th and proceeded with a non-custodial indictment." In response, Lee Jin-ho, a YouTuber and former entertainment reporter, claimed, "The decisive evidence that led the investigative agency to acknowledge the charges was a recorded conversation between Sunwoo Eun-sook’s sister and Yoo Young-jae," adding, "The approximately 20-minute recording detailed how they accessed it, the method, and the circumstances. Notably, it also included content where Yoo Young-jae partially admitted to his charges."
