Business Agreement for Cooperation in Future Innovative Materials Based on Quantum Computing at City Hall on the 28th at 3 PM
Attended by Mayor Park Hyung-jun, POSCO Holdings Chairman Jang In-hwa, and Korea Quantum Computing Chairman Kwon Ji-hoon
On the 28th at 3 PM, Busan City will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for cooperation in the field of future innovative materials based on quantum computing with POSCO Holdings (Chairman Jang In-hwa) and Korea Quantum Computing (Chairman Kwon Ji-hoon) at the City Hall video conference room.
This MOU is part of the city's efforts to create a quantum information technology ecosystem and is designed to advance Busan as a global quantum hub city through cooperation in the field of future innovative materials based on quantum computing.
The signing ceremony will be attended by Mayor Park Hyung-joon, POSCO Holdings Chairman Jang In-hwa, and Korea Quantum Computing Chairman Kwon Ji-hoon, who will sign the agreement.
The main contents of the agreement signed on this day are as follows.
▲ POSCO Holdings will research quantum computing technology for the development of future innovative materials and improvement of process efficiency.
▲ Korea Quantum Computing will contribute to the creation of the city's quantum information technology ecosystem through providing quantum computing research infrastructure, developing quantum algorithms, hardware optimization, application design, and solution development.
▲ The city will provide administrative support for cooperation in the field of future innovative materials based on quantum computing.
Mayor Park Hyung-joon stated, “This agreement will be an important turning point for quantum computer research and utilization in various fields such as the future innovative materials industry in Busan,” adding, “If the cooperative projects under this agreement proceed smoothly and organically integrate with the Quantum Science and Technology Center opening in November, the true potential of Busan as a global quantum hub city will be revealed.”
