Handonghun and Lee Jaemyung to Hold Second Meeting as Well

The People Power Party and the Democratic Party of Korea have agreed to launch a consultative body on the 28th to promote livelihood pledges from the last general election and common livelihood tasks of the two parties.

According to political circles on the 27th, Kim Sang-hoon, Chairman of the Policy Committee of the People Power Party, Bae Jun-young, Senior Deputy Floor Leader, Jin Sung-jun, Chairman of the Policy Committee of the Democratic Party, and Park Sung-jun, Senior Deputy Floor Leader, will meet at the National Assembly on the 28th to launch the "Livelihood and Common Pledge Promotion Council."

At the council, the two parties are expected to discuss bills related to creating future growth engines such as semiconductors, AI, and expansion of the national power grid, economic revitalization, asset market value enhancement, support for small and medium-sized enterprises, small business owners, self-employed individuals, support for local markets and regional economies, addressing low birth rates and regional disparities, abolition of parliamentary privileges, revival of district party organizations, and abolition of the financial investment tax.

Earlier, on the 1st of last month, People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon and Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung held their first meeting and agreed to operate a consultative body to promote common livelihood pledges. The two leaders have also agreed to hold a second meeting.
